Domains
Pick the hostname your short links live on. Use the shared one to get started instantly, or connect your own domain for better deliverability and ad approval.
Shared hostname — lnk.linksaff.app
Free and ready to use the moment you sign up. Every account has access to lnk.linksaff.app. Slugs on this hostname are unique across all Linksaff users — the first person to create /promo owns it.
Use it for testing and internal campaigns. Avoid it for high-volume cold email — the reputation of this hostname is shared across all users.
Bring your own domain (BYOD)
Connect a domain you already own — like go.mybrand.com. Your short links will use that domain instead of the shared one.
Why it matters:
- Email deliverability. Your domain reputation is yours alone — not tied to other senders.
- Ad approval. Platforms like Meta and Google review outbound domains. A domain you control and warm up yourself has a clean history.
- Brand consistency. Your audience sees your domain, not a generic shortener.
Domain status
- Pending — you added the domain, DNS hasn't been verified yet.
- Verifying — Linksaff is checking your DNS settings and activating the domain.
- Active — fully live and serving traffic.
- Failed — DNS didn't validate. The dashboard shows what's missing.
Linksaff checks domain status automatically. You can also delete and re-add a domain if it gets stuck.
Slug uniqueness is per domain
You can have mybrand.com/promo and go.partner.com/promo at the same time — they're separate domains, so the slug doesn't conflict.
